Saab Aircraft Leasing announced today, 24 July, that it is to enter into a lease agreement with OLT of Bremen, Germany, to provide a 50-seat Saab 2000 for Airbus Industrie's regular Bremen-Toulouse service.

Airbus requires a larger aircraft on the shuttle service for its week-daily flights between Germany and France as work on its all new A380 gathers momentum. The Saab 2000 (an ex Crossair aircraft - Serial No 37) will be delivered to OLT and placed into service in September. OLT is currently flying Metros and a Dornier 328 on the contract. The Dornier 328 will be returned.
In addition, Saab Aircraft Leasing is to provide one 340A to Swedish regional, Varmlandsflyg, to operate services from Copenhagen and Stockholm. The aircraft will be accepted later next month, together with one other 340A, which has been sourced from Skyways Aviation. Varmlandsflyg, a 40-year old established regional is moving up from Beech 1900 19-seat operations.
